Well its been a long time since I jumped in a Spit, so I took my Belgian Mk IX clip-wing up for a quick spin out from Biggin Hill....
So sucking up the view, cockpit open for a little fresh air

Sucking up the view the right way up (for me), I'm sure there is some Chiroptera blood in my veins...

Tally ho, target (London) nine o'clock

Diving out of the sun at this hour means coming in on the deck! Look at those shadows....

Grin Grin Grin   Very Nice!!!  Couldn't resist the bridge huh?  So did ya get the cobwebs shaken out after that?  Time for a brewski now!!!!

I just picked up the Spitfire for CFS3 that was flown by the famous F/O "Billy" Bishop (Canadian Ace)  401 "Ram" Sqn RCAF had the Mk IX-B and finished the war (thru Op Overlord and Normandy Invasion) with the Spitfire XIV-e.  Gotta go try it right now.

Yup the Belgians and the Dutch got a number of Spits after the war, including v.rare T9s!
Several are flying, and a number of others are now gathering dust in museums...

Mark, I'm willing to bet that those "charming men in blue" which you have referred to are all related and even have the same Christian name ?.......all "brothers-in-law"  and all are known as Robt, but in the short form of that name.........

So how about sending me a message and telling me where it came?  As long as we're talking about Spits, do you have the Battle of Britain add-on?  If you do, do you think that in terms of quality, the planes will do well in FS 2004? Grin

Nice ones Mark. I was wondering if you had dusted off the controls recently and been out reaking havok. Should have told the "boys in blue" to come up and get you.......
Now that would have been fun!!    Grin
