After months of searching I have finally found the car that I have been wanting all my life.  Now, it's nothing to brag about just yet because it's a complete restoration job (just a roller)-but behind the primer coat and lack of engine or transmission is a 1969 Camaro.  It'll be a few years before it is road ready, but for now I have my favorite car and a lot of work ahead of me.

Right now, I have no pics of it but I'll try and get some over the next few days (I don't have a digetal camera so I'll have to scan them).

Congrats Richie. Getting it back on the road is half the fun, and makes it twice as much a joy to drive once the work is done Wink

OK, I have made a small web site that I'll be posting pics of the car as the project unfolds.  Before you look remember that I have already stated that the car is very imcomplete and not even close to road ready.  Also, I do have the original hood eventhough it is not in the picture (doesn't really matter since I'm making an SS clone which had a different hood than the normal coupe which this was).  Anyway, here's the link to my page.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Congrats Ritchie. I'd rather have a fully restored 67-68 Camaro (four grand for a tuned performance fuel injected 350 cube engine) than a Porsche or a Cobra. One other car I would consider is an H2 Hummer.

Well, it's been a while so I figured I'd give you guys an update.  I haven't been able to do much on the car yet mainly just some sanding work of my own-I've been rather busy and in my free time I've been looking into body shops and discussing parts.  Today, the car finally went to the body shop and is having the roof repaired and the quarter panels fixed (hopefully they won't have to be replaced).  So, basically I have finally gotten going on the project (well-besides planning and figuring things out)-so hopefully I'll see some real progress on it within a week or so.   Wink

But, just thought I'd update everyone.

Well, more big news on my project.  Today I discovered another 1969 Camaro here in town in really nice shape for a good price so I have decided to pick that one up and get rid of the rolling chassis I had.  So, that car is no longer gonna be my project and I am now going to concentrate on this other Camaro.  It is a complete car that has been daily driven.  It is in really good shape and has a 350 engine and a 3 speed automatic transmission.  It's not exactly what I want but I plan on working on it as I go and turn it into the car I want.  This should now be a lot less expensive and shouldn't take nearly as long.

Anyway, I'll have pictures for you guys hopefully a little later.

Well, after having to wait for a few days to get the car I finally have it safe and sound in my garrage.  So, that means that I finally have a muscle car I can be proud of!  Grin
