Grin Grin Grin Hi
Have been trying to upload a screenshot to "Raw Screenshots" for past 2 days and keep getting this message
Quote:  Error:  File/usr/web/htdocs/simviation/yabbuploads/c9.jpg
There was an error opening the output fil for writing.
Make sure that the directory /usr/web/htdocs/simviation/yabbuploads has been ch modded with permission '777'
Also make sure that if you are attempting to overwrite an existing file, that the existing file is chmodded '666' or better.
The error message below should help you diagnose the problem:
Error:  Permission Denied Unquote

Have no idea what this means but prior to this message appearing I was having no problems with uploading screenshots

Thanks so much

Splash. I just uploaded a shot with no problems. I have no idea why you're having trouble but here's my best suggestion. Make sure your shot is actually in JPEG format. As guests are no longer allowed to post or reply on this forum I'm wondering if you need to log in before uploading shots?  Roll Eyes

Splash, I would try moving the image to a different location (folder) before upload and also give it a different filename (really different and unique)..........

Just to clarify. JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is the name of the image format. Most graphics editors save out with the .jpg or .JPG file extension.  Wink

Grin Grin Grin Thanks so much everyone for such a quick response, and just to let you know, I was signed in, and pics were saved in jpg.  But I had saved those particular pics with a shorter title ( C1) instead of what I would normally have used (Canso01) and when I changed it, everything worked.  Rifleman's little tidbit about filenames twigged me to that and it worked.  You see at my age, I try to shorten everything to make it easier to remember, but in this case it didnt work.  lol  Ah, Well I will just have to start writing everything down step by step!!!!
Thanks Once Again (This is what makes it a Great site)
