Not in real life anyway....
I got so sick of Mel Rafi's beautiful 777 having such a lousy fde that I just re-did it and took this to celebrate (back home where it should be)
Now it's got an autopilot that doesn't try to dump you nose down in a big way after takeoff and doesn't fluctuate by +/- 50 ft just in normal flight and cruises at mach .85 at FL350 and hits mach .9 (as I think it should - didn't check whether the original fde does as well though) and has the right angle for landing with flap so you can see the runway and (lastly) has got rid of almost all of that terrible rocking when you turn while taxying!
Anyone interested, I'll put it onto my website later (won't upload it - too much work doing notes and all that stuff).

Wow, looks great, but i must say that i dont have any problems with the Meljet one.... I think it's pretty real the way Mel implemented several things. But ofcourse, that's a personal taste, and i can understand that some people think that it is annoying....
A commercial aircraft is a vehicle capable of supporting itself aerodynamically and economically at the same time.

Hi Ken
No, it's just that most of the real Kai Tak runway has been dug up now so you'll never see any big jet taking off like this again in real life.
The scenery is progressing slowly. I've been hung up for too long on dynamic objects. In the pic you can see some ferries which work great. Three of them criss cross the bay the whole time and really add to the experience. Also, the cruise ship you can see with the orange funnel starts to move after a while (it's already moved a bit in the pic from its original position) and it goes right round the island in 2 hours exactly. It's good fun to take off in something like a heli after the scenery has been open for 30 or 45 minutes and go look for it.
It never disappears and eventually comes back to where it started from.
I'm having most problems with the land objects - like fuel and food trucks and things. I've spent a few weeks now trying to get them right - but at the moment they just aren't acceptable. I hate to say it but I think I'll have to learn BusyObjects - even more delay.
In the meantime, of course, I've not been working on buildings. May have to go back to doing that and forget about additonal moving objects for a while.
Roger

Thanks mate.
And it's only a little ole GeForce3 Ti200 64meg. Since I loaded the latest NVidia drivers my graphics have like REALLY improved. I just can't believe how much.
How do those guys do it - the card is the same???
Roger
BTW
I put the Meljet 777 fde on my website yesterday.
