I caught part of a story yesterday on radio. Something about the last flying HE111 developing engine trouble on its way to a show somewhere. I just caught the tail end of the story so that is all I know, Any one else hear of this story?

I believe that The Aeroplane Monthly, several issues back, had news items that there are about two groups - in Europe - rebuilding CASA 2.111s to flying status...

(Text in german, pictures and other stuff somewhere lower on the page)

This one is currently under construction and being repainted in its original scheme, after being used in a film and displayed in 'german' colors in the museum.

The assembly hall is part of a museum near Munich, and you can access an observation balcony to see them work (if the temperature allows them to work, which wasn't so when i visited... ) on it.

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here
