i was down at Meigs field trying out some planes when i overheard a Baron requesting IFR to FLINT AIRPORT 8)
i thought "where the hell is Flint? i wanna know" so i decided to tag along
as he started to taxi i began following him, i couldn't ask for takeoff clearance or they would have me held back
so i used HIS
i took of with him, when he throttled up i throttled up
at that point i had to figure out the right airplane to follow him with, the one i was in was too slow
i figured i'd need a FASTER plane than his, but one that could fly comfortably at the same speed he was going
i chose the Douglas A-26
and i managed to keep up with his flight all across lake Michigan
after crossing the lake i was afraid that FLINT could be half-way across the world, but lucky for me it wasn't
i had to listen to him talking on the radio, so i could know what he was gonna do next, so i tuned but did not contact any of the centers he went through
and after every center he contacted, i heard the controller say: "TRAFFIC ALERT, LESS THAN ONE MILE" there was me
i overheard the center giving him vectors for landing, and i was really happy becuse untill that point, i didn't know for how long i'd have to continue flying and my neck was really starting to hurt
unfortunatly enough i crashed into him while trying to get a REALLY close snapshot of us flying side by side
too bad... i still don't know where FLINT is
