Personally Phil, I'm grateful to every freeware designer out there. They really enhance and improve our hobby for us. They are the unsung heroes of the virtual aviation world.
If someone in particular has impressed you then go to our Designer Feedback forum and make a posting (a lot of the designers peek in for a look), there is nothing like seeing praise for your work to make it all seem worthwhile.

I haven't voted because none really apply here.  I am thinking M$ should just provide us accurate airports and leave everything else blank... and let us, the users create the scenery... Why? Because M$ seems to screw something up everytime, and then they say "Oh, we'll fix that in the next release of FS... but it will still cost you an armed & a leg"!

I don't use a lot of addon scenery because I find that scenery hits the fps the hardest. I am a major advacate for freeware though. Much of FS's fan base is below 18, and therefore do not have a credit card with which to pay for payware. They also don't have the money.

I don't think we'll need to worry about this for FS2004. I've seen some of the screenshots of raw COF and they look amazing. Even St. Martin's small Princess Julianna airport is very highly detailed.

I have no problem with people selling FS addons, I just would never buy them because at my age, I've got more important things to spend money on. (Like School, FS2004 Grin)

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.
