I read about a bit of a challenge in 2002 forum and went for a quick fly to Alaska. I was in such a rush to get on the ground, I totally ignored the approach that was given by ATC and decided to take the scenic route, which entailed a nice run down the river. After all, did you think they would make you go back up and do it again if you never did it the way that they asked you to do it ?......THINK NOT ! ! !

let's hope FS2004 has a STAR database for the AI aircraft, would fix a lot of anomalies...
Russian planes:
IL-76 (all standard length ones)
,
Tu-154 and Il-62
,
Tu-134
and
An-24RV
&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found
here

Is it just me, or is there absolutely no connection between Rifleman's screenshots and the 2004 star database? ???

thnx for at least the effort at least your not skeeerd. But the actual course by atc brings you strait in just above those nountains behind the last shot and expect you to droop to 3200 too, funny thing is its not possible till after you clear those mountains. But they bug you anyways. And then they giv eyou a go around option,

Isn't Kodiak another one that if you approach from the west you'll fly into a mountain?

Well DP, since you are new around here, go to this one and you'll soon see that I do occaisionally take a trip in the large heavy people movers.........even use some short approaches to even shorter unprepared strips.....

Hi rifleman, looks like you've got no reflections in FS, that is because you are using a Geforce 4 MX videocard, I had the same problem but resolved it by downloading a patch that can be foud in
www.avsim.com
searching for gf4mxdsp.zip, hope it helps...BYE
