hello all im sure you have all heard people asking for this before but i am a part of a virtual military airforce and i really would like to have working rockets and guns on my Tornado F3, ones that can destroy buildings and other aircraft and do not have to be operated by the same smoke key (i)
Is it not possible to use the programs that create the weapons in cfs2,3 etc to create these weapons in fs2002?
Also i have seen and used many of the weapons add-ons from simviation before but they do not show up in multiplayer mode i.e when flying on the net no one sees you shoot at them. why is this?
Thats my moan over but i do think if someone could design this thing it would be great for virtual air forces and normal simmers alike so designer get going! lol. Grin
Thanks

CFS2-style weapons libraries will not function in FS2002. These are defined in the DP (damage profile) files which aren't recognised in FS2002. FS is & always will be primarily a civil sim. If you want functional weapons my best suggestion is to use CFS2. These would still be restricted to the standard WWII weapons. The rockets have no guidance system.

PS. I've never played CFS2 or any other sim online but understand that bombs & rockets don't function in multiplayer. This is a bug with CFS2. They might have fixed it in CFS3 but you would need to ask someone who has it & uses it online.

Hi Jason. Check out this
http://www.simviation.com/fs2002misc11.htm

While FS2002 can not support weapons the way CFS2 and CFS3 does, it can support weapon effects. These effect files are put into the Effects folder, and an entry is placed in the aircraft.cfg, usually tied to the "I" key (usually triggers the smoke effect), which triggers the effects.

Hope this helps Smiley
