She left early Friday morning.......focused and alert.
A twin Otter at her controls.
Johnny had called in sick and was unable to make a small delivery to the Island of Coconuts.
She listened to garbled radio transmissions....
it was only an hours flight.

...

Level at 6000 feet, she watched the sun rise in front of her.
A small flashlite to keep her company.
She had never flown this course before.....especially alone.
The Otter rumbled beneath her feet.

...

What was this!!!!!!!!!
She had not prepared for "The Cloud of Doom!!!"
Out of nowhere it had appeared in front of her.
It had dropped from the heavens and was following her.
Where..............where was the Island of Coconuts?
Damn that Johhny!!! I could be home in bed....but no..I am dancing with the doom cloud!!
Why did I have to be the "Back up Pilot"?
This delivery could have waited....who really needs 50 chickens delivered by 7am today anyway?

...

Mary grabbed the controls like a boy holding a lolipop!!
The "cloud of doom" will not ruin my day!!
SWOOSH..........around and about......in and out....
The props spinning and stalling.
This cloud reminds me of my old boyfreind,..BIG, BAD and UGLY!!!!
Now there is that runway! Time to take this Otter home!
Island of Coconuts.......Here I come!!

...

As the Otter's feet slapped the ground,
Mary thought to herself.
"Figures......my 1st day and I have a date with my old boyfreind"!
Which reminds me, dosn't he fly a little red and white prop plane
to and from "the Island of Coconuts " airfield?

...

Wouldn't you know it........there he is with "Loose" Lucy!!
"Don't let him fool you honey.....he is after one thing
and one thing only!!
Maybe I should just leave these 50 chickens in his apartment,
I still have the key!!
Cluck,  Cluck,  Cluck!!!

That story reminds me of the J. Peterman catalog entries from Sienfeld...
