Please excuse my ignorance and answer me this...

What is slew mode?  What is it for?
How do you access it?
Thanks
Greg

HI greg....
Quit simple....
the slew mode is accesed by pressing "y" and allows you to move your planes back and forth, to the right and to the left, twist it and higher or lower it without using the engine. the slew mode was originally made for gliders.
you can view the keys active in slew mode using FS's settings section.

I've had this explained to me before. I really could not see the use for it and don't use it but Liran has at last made some sense with his reference to gliders.
Cheers

I find it most useful on long hauls with no scenery.  I just move the speed up to 5000 kts, get there quickly and then bring my speed back to cruise for looking around or landing.

Where is it written?
