My Logitech Wingman f/f joystick just packed up on me (the rudder decided to pull hard right or keep wildly fluctuating all the time making almost everything unflyable) and I had to go back to my old GenX 500 Quickshot non-f/f that I originally started with in FS98.

Boy what a difference. Apart from the change in 'feel' which I don't like, I find that I can't fly anywhere near as accurately with the old stick.

Dunno what other people think but I'd say to do what I just did - get yourself across to EBay where I've picked up a mint MS Sidewinder Pro boxed with drivers etc for under £30 + postage (say $45 US) - well under half price. From my experience you'll increase your enjoyment no end.

Before I got the Sidewinder I got a replacement Logitech for only £23 (just over $30 US) but the guy didn't reply so I cancelled the deal. Lucky as I'd got the Sidewinder by then! But it shows you can pick up some pretty good f/f sticks at not too much money.

Roger

PS I have to say that my experience with EBay UK has been pretty good and I've found one or two items there (including my car!)

Funny - I was just looking at Ebay today - after almost a year... & ended up buying 3CD's & 3 books (including one on Dreamweaver - my site management program) from the amazon 'used' section - which is virtually identical to ebay...  8)

I couldn't agree more - if you're looking for software or hardware it's always well worthwhile shopping on the Net at various 2nd user sites... (& I say that over & above any commissions we may get.. Smiley on direct sales.. )
