I am looking for an Amphibious plane that is pretty fast (can go almost 300 knots) if possible. My friend and I love to lake hop but the problem is, we are impatient and the current Amphibious planes I have found are oftly slow.

Can anybody tell me where one might be??? thank you

Have you tried looking for a Martin Seamaster - A four jet seaplane ? I've gotten a couple different copies from different sites on the internet.

A fast amphibious jet would be the Beriev Be-200.  The only problem is that I have jet to see one for FS.  It is an interesting plane.

I'm very interested, what sites can you get it at? I searched here and found nothing with Seamaster

I appreciate it

I'm going to download that Beriev, thanks Daylightla!!

The ones I have were FS98 versions. Without digging through my archieves I'd say I got them from Flightsim.com. I just did a file search over there and the only thing that came up was a panel and a FS5 version.

Don't know whether you know, but one of the British aero companies produced an amphibious pure jet interceptor just after the war.  I think it was either Westland or Saunders-Roe - I'm not sure.

It was sub-sonic, very ugly and flew as a prototype but wasn't proceeded with as there was no requirement for the little monster.

If you're interested, I'll trawl through my library and find details.

All the best,

Saunders-Roe (SARO) SR.A/1  of 1947.  Three prototypes built.

The Be-200 is a great plane.  I would love for a designer to take a try at it.  Smiley

Airliners has some great pictures of it.
