Is there anyway for to make ATC give me altitudes in Meters not in feet

Go to "settings", "international", and under "unit of measure" select "metric".

I changed it ATC still tells me to climb and maintain FL390 or any other

FL stands for "flight level", not feet.

Right, but I think the confusion is when the controller tells you FL390, that's 39,000 FEET.

I think what he wants is to be told, for example, FL130, only have it mean 13,000 meters...

It's confusing though, so this is just a guess as to what he's trying to accomplish.
