Okay a tough question for all you Steve McQueen fans out there. The car he drives in Bullitt is a 68 Mustang, but in the famous chase through San Fransisco, what is the other car? I think its a Chrysler...
Also is this the same type of car they used in the Dukes of Hazard?

It's a 69 Charger, and if you look real hard you'll see it lose 7 hubcaps during the chase.  There were actually several Mustangs built for the movie and only two survived.  No one is actually sure of the locations of the cars, but one is rumored to be in a museum in France.  After shooting ended, the beauty car (the one not used for chase scenes or wrecked) was sold to the director's secretary, who used it as a daily driver for several years and then it disappeared from history.  The Bullitt Mustang is the Holy Grail of auto collecting (not counting high end stuff like a Ferrari 250Gt) and is probably the most famous movie car after the Batmobile.

Now, did you know McQueen actually did his own driving in that movie and that none of the speed is simulated?  They actually were on California Highways doing 120 mph and filming it.

The Charger used in 'The Dukes of Hazzard' was the same year, but there were actually 17 copies of the 'General Lee' built.  Most of these were trashed, because to get the angle to look right on the jump, and the front end to stay up so it looked good, a couple of hundred pounds of weight was added to the trunk.  This had the unfortunate effect of almost destroying the rear end of the car upon landing.  Again, several have survived and tour the country at car shows and such.  There is one not to far from where I live at an auto museum in Volo, Illinois.  The website is   http://www.volocars.com
