The instant replay feature of FS2002 is a great thing.  It's become my best bud in the sim (next to my instruments), and it's become my worst enemy (next to the FS2002 ATC).  As you know, IR allows for you to go back many seconds for you to be able to see what you just did.  When you open up the IR screen, if you've been flying for 60 or more seconds, a highlighted "60" is already in the seconds field, and you can replace the "60" with how many seconds you want to go back, provided you've been flying long enough.

I just landed from a real-time flight from Denver (KDEN)to Newark (KEWR).  I wanted to see my landing from the Approach View (in ActiveCamera 2002), so I open up the Instant Replay screen.  Instead of the "60"  already in there, "7" is displayed and highlighted.  I entered in 300 seconds to go back, but when I press OK, it only goes back 7 seconds.  I opened the IR screen again, and this is what showed up:

...

This has happened to me numerous times, and not just this flight.  It happens on and off, meaning I can sometimes view the whole 300 seconds or I can't, and the problem doesn't seem to be aircraft-oriented since it's happens in random aircraft (FFX 735, POSKY 744, MSFS C172).  I'd like to know if anyone else has encountered this happening, because I would very much like an answer as to why this is happening..  I've missed soo many picture-perfect landings in the great FFX wing views and fly-over views because of this annoying replay problem..

Any help is appreciated..

Yeah, I have, as well.  This happens randomly, and it really spoils my hopes of seeing the perfect landing  Cry

You could always play it on the safe side while you're on final and switch on the ol' recorder.

I haven't had that problem myself, but I've had something where when I go back to watch it (it's either in IR or recorder, I can't remember which off hand), the aircraft is put somewhere in the middle of the ocean (or a field somewhere in landlocked airports) and just cycles through a crash, even though I never crashed.

Anyone?

Just thought I'd update my problem..

The absense of instant replay is really bugging me, and I don't want to have to record everytime I fly..  This problem now happens with ANY aircraft, although it tends to affect addon aircraft more often than default aircraft.

If no one has an answer to my problem, does anyone know the files associated with the Instant Replay function?
