that was not what i meant
The 'Big Brother' program had a hut somewhere in holland, with a 2 meter fence around it so the tabloid press could not see what was happening inside.
Then the most annoying TV person of holland got the idea of paradropping himself and a camera crew into the garden of that house...
Eventually he landed on the wrong side of the fence, with the audio guy, the cameraman landed in the garden, and got chased by some 3 security guys... that was more fun than all the 30 episodes of the crappy programme as a whole, and they cut it out of the official footage...
Russian planes:
IL-76 (all standard length ones)
,
Tu-154 and Il-62
,
Tu-134
and
An-24RV

I don't think Big Brother is on anymore in North America, probably due to lack of interest. The reality fad is still alive but dying quickly. Thoes shows rarely make the top Neilson ratings list anymore and it now seens (by my observations) that Survivor (America's first of the boom) will too be wrapping up soon. The FOX networks still pumps them out at an alarming pace, but the shows are so silly, they just become ammunition for comics like Jay Lenno.

And whilst I'm of the subject DON'T let me get started on David and Victoria "Nauseating Pratts" Beckham. (Posh and Becks).
That's not so bad, over here, we get bombarded with stories about your Royals. BTW, seems Chuckles is going to marry Horse Face. Amazing what you learn at the grocery store checkout.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

Its hit hard everywhere. For once I think I found a community that agrees with me that reality TV shows must GO! I think simmers are the most loyal and honest group of people in the world. We respect many things in this world (mostly big metal birds
), and we respect each other. Unlike other communities in this world. I trust a fellow simmers opinion the most. Reality TV SUCKS!
Think of it as it is" Comedy Or people making complete fools of them selves"

ViNtAgE FlYa,
Haven't you heard how biased the news is?
The only things good on TV are
1. Uncut movies (you usually have to pay for them),
2. Live sports, and
3. Documentaries like History Channel (no BBC or PBS junk.)

I'm refering to Charles and Camila. Hey, didn't Aussies used to all be British convicts.
The people who formed Canada were traders and rich Loyalists. The people who formed Australia were arrested for stealing a pig.
I'm just kidding of course.
Back on the topic of reality. American Idle was bad enough, now we have Canadian Idle.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

Hey, didn't Aussies used to all be British convicts.
The 'First Settlement' (Jan 1788 - Sydney) contained a large number of convicts and some free settlers. Also a reason sized 'detachment' of Army Regulars (Redcoats
).
Subsequent settlements in NSW and the other States (which weren't separate states then (all of Australia was called 'New Holland') were mostly 'penal' settlements.
It's true the entire country was purposely looked at as a solution to Englands over-crowded prisons.
the majority of prisoners had committed relatively harmless crimes (mainly theft - in order to feed families etc - many were Irish, the victims of Landlords bringing charges for non-payment of rent and such things).
There was also a reasonable amount of free settlers (pioneers, I suppose) which came over on subsequent voyages.
Both free settlers and freed convicts (after serving their time) were given land grants and many became founders of many aspects of what we now know as our Heritage.
It's true many of us are decendant of convicts but also many have free settlers as their legacy in this country.
(A liitle History lesson for those who may be interested
).

Don't let's forget Star Trek (all series) and other great Sci-fi such as 'Star Gate', 'Sliders' 'Outer Limits' etc.
I LIKE MY SCI-FI
