Air Canada will not be purchasing any aircraft. Because of the crash of the airline market, they are busy trying to restructure the way they do business. Right now they are too busy in talks with their unions to try and temporarily lay off some employees.
However there is a new airline comming up based out of Toronto Island Airport (CYTZ). It will come about once the proposed plan to improve the airport is passed by Toronto city council. They will be purchasing mainly Dash8s. The new airline will server Ontario and the Great Lakes area of the US. (Ie Illinois, New York)
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.
