From a humble beginning…
Throughout the inter-war years.
From the gathering clouds of war…
To a symbol of hope in our darkest hour.
From the dawn of the jet age…
To mach 2 pioneer.
From cold war deterrent…
To rapid reaction force.
Defending our skies and our freedom…
Into the 21st century, and beyond.

X pal, that's fantastic! I'd be happy to add a couple more shots for your calendar. Here are a couple of shots I did not use in the original post. Hope this helps.

Sorry Woody pal, but with only 10 shots available, something had to miss out. If you think about it, I had to leave out a number of ground breaking and historically significant types.

I saw the Lanc, Spitfire, Tornado, Harrier and Nimrod (amongst many others) today at RAF Waddington, thanks for the reminder of a great day and the brief collection of our Aviation heritage.
Nick
Ps. If you live in the UK get yourselves to Sundays airshow at Waddington, they have a truly awsome line up!
