I used to play cfs on the zone, then cfs2 and I enjoyed it.  But After I got cfs3, I stopped.  It's been about...well November was the last time I probably did.  The other day I loaded cfs2 and tryed to use the zone.  When I entered a game one of two things happened.  The game didn't start, just had that box that says 'give the game three minutes to load,' or the game would start to load, but both times nothing would happen.  I sat for a long time waiting, but nothing happened.  Anyone got a fix, or a tip?

Sock,

I seem to remember seeing simialr posts when CFS3 first came out  in that after CFS3 was installed CFS2 would have multiplay problems.

I thikn it was to do with the Direct X version installed along with CFS3 that will now be what is used by CFS2 (M$ at their finest!).  Might  be worth have a look through the posts from end 2002 and jan/feb this year.

I am thinking that your games loads as far as the splash screen (zero's on a red night dusk sky) before stopping.
Once you give up after the 3 mins or so do you get any erros such as 'unable to load DP interface' when you return to the zone.

If so you may have a firewall issue (assuming you have one) and may need to enable the correct ports.

Otherwise the zone has been bad over the past week with lots of people being dropped from games or not getting in at all. You have just been unlucky but you have probably tried several times. I usually find a reboot is necessary after I have problems connecting

Thanks Kevib, I'll look through the posts.  And it does just go to that spashscreen, and I've never gotten one of those messages.  Thanks.
