Well, I've been told there is no such thing as a stupid question, but I've looked through tutorials and haven't found an answer yet.  Sad

It's about exporting a model with textures.  I have no problem putting them on to the model in gmax, but I open it in FS, the model is textureless.  All the tutorials that I could find end just before the export part!  Roll Eyes  Can anyone help me out with this, or can direct me to a tutorial I may have missed?  Smiley

The problem with Gmax is that it's a general 3d modelling application not primarily intended for FS. The FS2002 Gamepack allows you to export in the MDL or BGL format. Specific instructions are included with the FS2002 MakeMDL & Aircraft Container SDKs. http://zone.msn.com/flightsim/FS02DevDeskSDK00.asp

These instructions are complex & not always too clear. Basically - you have to configure the Aircraft Container folder manually & paste the appropriate files including textures into it (in the correct format). You might find my dummy aircraft container folder useful. http://www.simviation.com/fsdesign_gmax.htm

Ah, I figured it out.  The textures weren't in the correct format!  Grin  Thx for your help!
