   I really doubt many people are going to read this, but hey.  For anyone who uses the ILS, do you seem to have troubles when you pull up during the apporach? When I'm somewhat at the runway, If I ease back the stick, it launches the nose skyward. And going down hardly works. I'm usin a 747, any one else have this problem?   ???

This is why pitch is so useful! It'll raise or drop the nose of the aircraft, and is described in the first few lessons in FS2002. I'm not sure whether or not I changed the keys, but I have Home as Pitch Down, and End as Pitch Up. When just past the runway threshold, I'll drop the throttles, pitch the nose up, and put the back wheels on the ground pretty gently and then then nose.

Try it in a Cessna, just flying straight.

The technical bit is this: pitch is used to control an aircraft's pitch at speed. Increasing the throttle will generally make a plane gain altitude, but if you pitch down and increase throttle, you'll stay at the same altitude but increase speed. Likewise, decreasing throttle makes a plane want to go down, so pitching the nose up will help it to maintain altitude whilst reducing speed. The best way to manually fly an ILS approach is to just make small throttle and pitch changes to keep the plane on the glideslope.
