Please explain the difference between the NAV Hold Selector and the Heading Hold Selector. What does the NAV Hold Selector do?? I am familiar with the Heading Hold Selector.

NAV hold locks onto a GPS route or a VOR radial. Heading Hold follows the indicated compass degree you've selected. To use Nav hold with VORs, adjust the OBS knob to be lined up with the radial's bearing.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

But in order for it to hold the GPS route, you have to select NAV or GPS (most planes have this little toggle switch).
