Anyone got any input on "how to" or whether or not it is even possible, to save a replay when in that mode.....it sure would make things interesting to be able to "prove" a stunt, without just a series of stills (Screenshots)?

Can't you save your replays within FS2002 and play them anytime you want? The actual files are saved in your myflights folder

Ken you can save it as a video file using fsuipc. Then you can do a replay in 2k2 anytime (there is an aerobatics demo you can download here). However it is a little jittery and jumpy.
Is this anything to do with our little project?

Rifleman, et al;

You can save the video like Ozzy said, but I've looked everywhere, and there's just nothing I can find to save an Instant Replay. Once the replay is done, the sim pauses, or if you stop it early by hitting ESC, it'll pause, too. I think once it's done, it's gone forever.  ???

You can run a the replay as many times as you wish. It is not "wiped out" until you either reset the flight or crash (which resets the flight).

Try this:
- execute some maneouver (i.e. a take-off)
- at it's conclusion, hit "P" to pause
- hit Alt, O, R, enter

After you've watched it, you can continue the flight by Un-pausing.  If you hit P again and then Alt, O, R, enter again, you can watch both segments and there is no break between them (where you first paused).

As the others have stated, FS doesn't provide a way to save an "instant replay" but it can be done with a 3rd party full motion screen capture utility such as "Camtasia".
