IIve been searching the threads and found some good info and began upgrading the default aircraft lighting. I noticed that most of the planes do not portray real world lighting correctly so here are the few Ive finished so far.....I will be working on the rest of the default plus some of the add on a/c I have.....
Default Raytheon Baron 58:
I removed the strobe light from the belly and replaced it with the correct red beacon and added the correct tail strobe.
[LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing light.0 = 3, -6.80, -19.29, 0.79, fx_navred , light.1 = 3, -6.80, 19.29, 0.79, fx_navgre , light.2 = 3, -25.33, 0.00, 0.72, fx_navwhi , light.3 = 2, -6.63, -19.29, 0.79, fx_strobe , light.4 = 2, -6.63, 19.29, 0.79, fx_strobe , light.5 = 1, -24.18, 0.00, 6.17, fx_beaconh, light.6 = 1, -8.00, 0.00, -1.60, fx_beaconb, light.7 = 4, -8.00, 0.00, 2.70, fx_vclight, light.8 = 2, -25.33, 0.00, 0.72, fx_strobe ,
Default Raytheon King Air 350 I made the same changes as the Baron and added the correct Recognition Lights which operate with the landing lights. I also changed the Nav lights on the tail to the real world set up with the tail strobe in between the 2 nav lights.
[LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing light.0 = 3, 0.56, -28.41, 1.97, fx_navred , light.1 = 3, 0.56, 28.41, 1.97, fx_navgre , light.2 = 3, -31.20, 0.00, 9.20, fx_navwhi , light.3 = 2, 0.89, -27.89, 1.77, fx_strobe , light.4 = 2, 0.89, 27.89, 1.77, fx_strobe , light.5 = 1, -25.49, 0.00, 9.74, fx_beacon , light.6 = 1, -4.55, 0.00, -1.85, fx_beacon , light.7 = 4, 5.91, 0.00, 1.64, fx_vclight , light.8 = 2, -31.20, 0.00, 9.09, fx_strobe , light.9 = 5, 0.89, 27.28, 1.77, fx_navwhi , light.10= 5, 0.89, -27.28, 1.77, fx_navwhi , light.11= 3, -31.20, 0.00, 9.00, fx_navwhi , light.12= 5, 0.89, -27.19, 1.77, fx_navwhi , light.13= 5, 0.89, 27.19, 1.77, fx_navwhi ,
Default Extra 300S I added the missing nav lights to the wings to provide real world lighting effects.
[LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit light.0 = 3, -1.62, -13.28,-0.15, fx_navred light.1 = 3, -1.62, 13.28,-0.15, fx_navgre light.2 = 2, -2.02, -13.28,-0.15, fx_strobe light.3 = 2, -2.02, 13.28,-0.15, fx_strobe light.4 = 3, -2.32, -13.28,-0.15, fx_navwhi light.5 = 3, -2.32, 13.28,-0.15, fx_navwhi light.6 = 4, -6.62, 0.00, 1.50, fx_vclight
Default Bell 206B I removed the strobe from the top of the fuselage and added the correct strobes to the elevator ends behind the nav lights.
[LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit light.0 = 3, -15.00, -2.80, 2.27, fx_navred , light.1 = 3, -15.00, 2.80, 2.27, fx_navgre , light.2 = 3, -23.05, 0.00, 2.95, fx_navwhi , light.3 = 1, -22.45, 0.44, 6.54, fx_beacon , light.4 = 2, -15.30, 2.80, 2.27, fx_strobe , light.5 = 2, -15.30, -2.80, 2.27, fx_strobe , light.6 = 4, 2.00, 0.00, 1.50, fx_vclight ,
I will be working on the rest of the aircraft tonight and tomorrow and hope to have all of them done before the weekend is over. However I am not a pro at this and have run into some problems that I could use assistance on. Several of the defaults and add on a/c still use All or partial lighting from FS2000. I cannot figure out how to over write the lighting on those aircraft and replace them with the newer schemes from FS2002. So any tips I can get for these in particular will be extremely helpful. Also if anyone has a special request for lighting patterns feel free to post it. Enjoy.
