The picture is not visible, but let me take a guess at what you saw; a small baloon and a very long wire running across the sky? Ive seen it previously, its probably a weather balloon of some sort.

My guess is a really big kite on a really long string, LOL.  But seriously, I think Oz is right-I have seen it too and I've always thought it was just a weather balloon.

My home base is KFLL and I do a lot of flying south to the Keys, Cuba and points south.

You have found an easter egg - our Keys balloon.

I think the balloon is about 10,000 ft.  I circled up to it once in the C-172.  But now I just ignore it.

For a better view take off from KEYW and follow the islands north at about 80 degrees.

Is it always there? The reason I ask is because I fly a lot from KMIA to MUHA(Havana) or MUCF(Cienfuegos) and I have never seen before. Of course by the time I'm flying over keywest the plane is already around 24000 Ft or above.

By the way what else is there in fs2002?

yes, M$ left a lot of little surprises in FS2002. If you set the date correctly, you will see the Wright Flyer at Kitty hawk. Also, i recently noticed there are 2d British gaurds at Buckingham Palace I belive it is. Theres a whole bunch of other stuff to pay atention to; you just have to keep your eyes opened  Wink

I don't believe the Aurora Australis is included.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

DON'T BOTHER IT LOOKS LIKE A COW TURD
Exact Lon,Lat: A rough guess would be about S25*20.25 - E131*05.10

I should also mention that 80 degrees is obviously not north.  From Key West this is the direction you would head to fly over the islands leading you ultimately to the Florida mainland south of Miami (east coast).  A 360 heading would lead you over water to the west coast of Florida.

See I didn't know fs2002 had all these things in it except for  Aurora Borealis which I have seen(I think I have seen, don't they look green?) while flying VHHH-EGLL night flights.

I'm going to explore all those places. Grin

Thanks

I have seen those once along with the Shuttle on the launch pad at Cañaveral. Evertime I see something like the comets and /or the weather balloon that i posted here I thing it's something wrong with my video card or something.

I think I've seen another one of those weather balloons somwhere else But I'm not real sure

At KSC (Melbourne,Florida) you can see the shuttle on the launch pad, the VAB and if you look closely old launch pad 36 (Apollo).  The very long shuttle landing strip is here, too, but no ILS.  I think it's X86.

Fly west to Orlando (W of KMCO) for a sorry rendition of Disney World.
