Anyone know if there is any plans for a new F-14 model coming out? Perhaps a D model?

I believe it's going to be payware.

I'm curious what's wrong with the most recent F-14's out there? They're in GMAX, nicely detailed and freshely painted.

What is the original poster looking for in a F-14?

Yea there have been alot of really good F-14's released recently. I3D's projects from here on in are all payware as far as I know. With an exception to the B-2, maybe.

new F-14 today on AVSIM
It has full moving parts, flame as afterburner with night lighting, moving tailhook, moving canopy, landing gear, spoilers, flaps, a detailed panel, and sound that was recoreded off of a real F-14 Tomcat. (JW)

Hi!

Yes, it will be with a VC pit. Although we dropped doing the Mig 29 and added the another aircraft.

I will have something for the DSB Typhoon hopefully soon though. Smiley

Just read on post in the Flightsim forum that Dino himself is doing an upgrade to his own work!

Hi,
I'm Dino Cattaneo, the author of the original VF-103 F-14B Package.
The upgrade is still in the works, as I've been very busy in the last months.
Please note that NO REPAINTS or other upgrades have been endorsed by me, as I'd like to keep the project as "uniform" as possible.

The upcoming release will be a F-14B only package, based on the orginal issue and will feature:
- an improved visual model with more details
- a new set of textures for VF-32 "Swordsmen"
- an improved flight model
- a very detailed virtual cockpit
- a couple of different weapons configurations

Then a F-14D upgrade is planned, with VF-31 and VF-2 textures.

Later on a FS2004 upgrade is planned, if interesting new features arise.

Regards,

Dino
