I don't know...
I think some topics cannot be made into the subject of a joke. I don't find Hitler to be funny, I don't think there's anything funny about his actions either. Is it really appropriate for this forum? should we sit back and laugh because he's dancing? 60 years after the horors of WWII, I don't believe we can allow ourselves to "soften up" about what happened, and reduce a murderer and a tyrant to a dancing clown.
please refrain from posting such threads in the future

1:I do not think this was being a joke on what happened 60 years ago at all.just a poking a little fun on a sad human being. You are taking it a little personal I think.
2: why don't you become a member and show who you are . or if you already are a member come forward.. also, I think you need to become moderator to say things like

Actually there is a funny side to this.
If something happened 60 years ago then I think that we can laugh at it now. If something dreadful happened yesterday then now is not the times to laugh about it.
The fact is, jokes about Bin Ladin and Saddam Hussein have been springing up for ages and they are not from 60 years ago yet you still find the jokes funny. And when you look at it was Saddam any worse than Hitler?
To end this small rant I must say that you americans need to reasses your sense of humor cause it seems totally screwed up.

well, I am a member, just a bit too lazy to log in (erased my cookies yesterday) you may know me as IAFpilot03. anywaay...
if by "taking it personally" you mean finding a joke about what happened to my family 60 years ago a little inappropriate, then you're damn right, I am taking it personally. By making hitler dance in a little Gif image you're disconnecting him from his past, and who he trully is.
and woodlouse, I don't think something that happened that long ago can be laughed at, now is not the time, and I doubt there ever will be a time to laugh at such matters. I personally don't find the attack on the WTC to be "funny", so what if there are jokes about it? does it mean we should laugh? BTW, if you opened up a history book every once in a while you'd see that Sadaam and bin laden have nothing in common with hitler. Sadaam never seeked to destroy a culture, rather a religious faction who had a different view on Islam. Ben Laden wants to destroy anyone who's not muslim, but he hadn't really succeded yet.
And I don't think I need to be a moderator to ask you not to post such threads, I need to be a moderator in order to remove such threads.

Its turning into something awful now.. Lets all let it go....I am truly sorry for what your family went through. but if everyone reacted to things that hit them about something that was hurtful in life on here , there would be alot of problems on here.. no one was trying to do that here.. it was a silly picture. nothing more.. lets move on now shall we...........

So, Saddam never wanted to wipe out a culture eh? What about the Kurds? He's been killing them for decades and you say he doesn't want to wipe them out?
60 years is enough time to stop feeling so passionate about something. If this had stalins head on that dancing stick man then you wouldn't complain and he was 10 times worse that Hitler was.
If you looked at current affairs Boaz then you would know about the mass graves that are being turfed up in Iraq. The thing about history is that its in the past and if people want to laugh it off then let them.
I realise that Jews will have an extreemly poor view on Hitler and his antics but did you know his scientists discovered that smoking causes cancer 40 years before the rest of the world? So if you'll excuse the pun, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

you're right, 60 years is a long time, I guess we can forget about it now. I mean, who cares about some 6 million people slaughtered half a century ago. Did I say 6? I meant 3, no, more like 2, or 1.5, and even then, it's not like it was such a horrible loss, I mean, how does the death of 200,000 people really affect our lives today? you'd think the Jews would let it go after so long, I doubt those 100,000 people really died, they were probably just moved out (willingly of course) and sent to Israel, ah, I mean Palestine...
60 years is not a long time, and 6 million is not just a number. and as long as I and my children and their children roam this earth, I vow I will not let this fade into distant memory, and not just because of what happened, but because of what will happen again if we allow ourselves to forget. 100,000 kurds and an unknown number of Shiites in Iraq are a grave reminder of what awaits us all if we forget.
and that's all I have to say on that matter, I think this has gone far enough, and now that everyone has had their say we can lock this post and put up some new jokes about drunks and blondes.

So what's wrong with making fun of Hitler ???
It's not like the animation is glorifying or condoning what he did, just plain making fun of him

The animation is something I picked up from the Herzeleid.com forums. Someone made the mistake of calling Rammstein Nazis, and low-an-behold up popped Adolf doing his jig.
