 Not a sim

I'm as new as a newbie can be.  I'm a private pilot and I build homebuilt airplanes, but the last flight sim I used was Jetfighter II, about 100 years ago, so please bear with me as I expose my ignorance.

I'm doing a presentation that has to include an AVI file of an intercept.   Basically, a bizjet (I've been calling out a Lear 23 but it doesn't matter which) is intercepted by an F-15 or 18.  The point of view is from above and behind the fighter.  After following the bizjet for a few minutes, the fighter fires a missile and shoots down the bizjet.

Just from the packages on the shelves, it doesn't look like it can be done.  There are flight sims that have bizjets, and combat sims that have jet fighters, but not both.  Looking around here it seems like a bizjet can be loaded into CFS 1,2 or 3.  I'm hoping the good people here can tell me if what I want is a snap, or impossible.

The graphics people here (at work) say if I can get what I want up on a screen, they can record it and get it into AVI format, so that's not a problem.  And it's the company dime, so I can buy any package I need to make it work.  I have FS2002 Pro and CFS2 on the shelf already.

Help?

Richard Riley.

(PS I will give a ride in my airplane, pictured at left, to anyone whe can help me make this work)

Well for now no one has made a CFS3 private jet or F-15/F-16 for that matter. The only CFS3 F-16 out there is the Lago one but thats payware. However if the necessary planes would be available it would be possible when you make a mission in Mission Builder. While there are private jets in these sim sites they are for FS2002 and its previous versions. The FS2002 models and aircraft contents are completely different thatn the ones in CFS3. I think there is a Learjet Gmax model at freeflightdesign.com that you can convert to CFS3 model by downloading the CFS3 Gmax gamepack. (Gmax in case you dont know is the program used to create most models. it is available at discreet.com/products/gmax/) Now in CFS3 and any other CFS sim you cannot fire guided missles. CFS3 is limited to guns, bombs, and un-guided rockets. BTW to record a selected area of the screen i suggest using Hypercam available at download.com. I have experienced certain problems when recording a CFS3 avi -- some frames appear wrong however i jsut send them to Animation Shop and delete the bad frames (i guess you can use anything else) hope i helped

BTW you said you had FS2002 Pro and CFS2 so you can maybe get somewhere using those 2. You can send the Learjet 45 model in FS2002 to CFS2 and download one of them fighter jets here at this site and create a mission in the CFS2 mission builder in which you have to shoot down that plane -- using just guns of course. In my opinion this is the only and easiest way you can make your 'project' work
