I was doing something completely different when I happened to take this screenshot.
I've had to crop it down for the forum but I think the original shot (1280 x 1024 pixels) is one of the best I've ever taken. It looks so realistic I've now got it as my Desktop.

Thanks.
Funny, when you want to set up screen shots you often can never get quite what you're after.
In this case I was trying approaches and landings with various aircraft over a period of time at dusk, and it just got darker and darker. I was watching this one on the replay, saw this view and just thought - WOW.
One of my favourite shots ever and I like my original because it's got more space round it, that I cropped off for the forum. It's almost black and white, great for the period of the plane, but with just enough colour.

You're right, Rifle. I love these old uns
I'm redoing the FDE of a Super Connie and was using this and other old props to see what their attitude is on approach (you know, nose up/down and stuff). At the moment the Connie is nose up which I don't think is right for a plane of the era.
When I'm done I'll post some shots etc
Roger
BTW for anyone interested, here's the info on the BOAC aircraft in the shot.
FS2002 BOAC Canadair CL-4 Argonaut Canadian version of the Douglas DC-4, package includes Reg. G-ALHK, sn 157 (white fin-1950) and Reg. G-ALHX, sn 169 (blue fin-1957) of B.O.A.C. British Overseas Airways Corporation (1939-1974). Complete with moving landing gear, flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder. It also features switchable landing lights and realistic engine start.
By Harry Follas and Tom Gibson, Flight Model by Brian Horsey. Sound-files for Rolls-Royce Merlin engines by Mike Hambly. Repainted and completed with night light textures by Hans Hermann

That is just a beautiful shot Roger. You have every right to be proud of that.
