Hey boys! Have a pilot that wants me to make some airfields on the Cape at Mass. Coordinates are N41* 55.44'  W70* 32.33'    I can hit the Fly Now button and as scenery starts to load up I get the Error Message on both the Terrain and Imgui.dll files.

Microsoft says they can become corrupt and to Remove and then reinstall the game. I went and pulled the two files from the disc and replaced them. Still the same problem.

I then put in coordinates that were slightly off, N40* 55.44'   W69* 43.33   Got into the game ok and began flying to my objective. I could see the Cape in the distance and probably got to within 10 miles and POW!, Terrain.dll error.

I don't believe it is corrupted files as this is the only place that does this. Anyone have an idea?

Hey Fireman. I remember some time ago my old friend Mauro found a weird problem with some of the default scenery. When flying towards the coast you would suddenly hit a "brick wall" & explode. I don't remember the location or even if it was CFS1 or CFS2. Could this be something similar?

Hi Hagar. I am not exploding. If I punch in those coords. right off the bat, I get both the Terrain and Imgui.dll error messages and CFS2 shuts down. Punching in coords. just a little off, 1 degree, then I can get in without the error; but as I fly to the coords. that I want, as soon as I get withing a certain distance, pretty close to it, I get the Terrain.dll error.

Got me puzzled.

Hi Fireman. I realise your problem is slightly different but thought it might be a similar bug in the default scenery. Mauro never did fix his problem so had to move the air base. As I remember this would have been when he was creating Pacific missions & scenery for CFS1.

It very well could be the same glitch in those files, just showing itself in a different way. I don't believe it is a corrupt file as the MS Support FAQs state; otherwise I would get the error in more places. That's the only place so far. Wierd!!!!

I might try placing a simple runway/field there and then see if I can get to it. Otherwise, no scenery for my friend unless he changes locations. lol

Thanks Hagar!

One point. I tried it in Free Flight in my own CFS2 by pasting the co-ords you posted straight into the appropriate boxes. The one thing I didn't have was the altitude. I got no error message at 3,000 or 850 feet if that helps.
