Brooklyn Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, Tower Bridge, whatever...  To me the Sunshine Skyway will always be the coolest bridge in the world.  Built in 1982 after a disastrous collision between a ship and the old Skyway, the bridge spans 14 miles between Bradenton, Fla and St. Petersburg.  The bridge itself is 11 miles long!  From Whitted airport in St. Petersburg, take off on runway 18 and head 210 for a few minutes.  It should become readily visible.  I used to cross this bridge every day.  I love it!  Does anyone know what the longest bridge in the world is?  I wasn't quite sure whether to post this here or in the photo section...

The western-most route, the Onomichi-Imabari highway route includes the Tatara Bridge, with a center span of 890 m, the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world and a total length of 1,480 m, and the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridges (three consecutive suspension bridges).
