Ok, i'm bored.. school's over, and i'm waiting for flight school to start.. i have a bit of money.. what do i do? i go get the MiG-21!!!  Grin Grin Grin

Ok, for those who love migs and russian planes and don't have this baby yet.. get it!! Cheesy

it's simply amazing, i have other paywares such as lago tornado and falcon, but this MiG beats the crap out of those lago paywares.. much better quality 8)

I would also recommend all textures for the mig by Ed Knapp

the pics below show different textures, some default, some by Ed Knapp

Iraqi MiG-21.. This has become historic, i love that scheme, looks awsome...
...
...

Czechslovakian AF MiG-21UM #3176. 9th Fighter Wing, Bechyne AFB. Late '80s.
...

Soviet AF MiG-21 #62. Kacha Higher Fighter Pilot School, 1981.
...

Polish Air Force #9308
...

North Vietnamese Air Force. this plane looks so realistic
...

Israeli Air Force #007. It was numbered 007 because it was obtained from a defecting Iraqi Pilot after some intelligence work.. something along those lines
...

Luftwaffe! this is probably the nicest paint scheme of the whole lot.. the reflective bare metal textures Rulz!.. I think this is one of those MiG-21 that germany obtained after the "fall of the wall".. I believe it's out of service.. still some miG-29's though Grin
...
...
...

That's it.. hope you like them.. 8)
And yes, i believe it looks nicer than an F-22 Roll Eyes Grin

Man, that is a sweet looking plane.  The fourth and seventh shots looks like photographs. In fact, if I hadn't seen them here, I might have thought they were. Grin  8) Grin  8)

Well they didn't buy it direct! I believe some russian equipment including the Mig and Mi24 Hind together with some russian radars made their way to the US through the back door probably being exchanged for trade or money or something?! There was a secret squadron within the USAF called Redhat (I think) they flew the soviet types.

Yes the USAF flies some Mi-24D Hinds from old soviet republics. Here in the US we love the German MiG-29's, they come and train with the US Navy.

redhat? secret squadron?
fantasy my friend......

the us had bought Mi24 for wargames to train the army,
and maybe some other russian equipment..
they were probably obtained by the soviets, as we are semi-allies now

the german mig-29s have said their last goodbyes to the US of A because soon they will be replaced by the EF2000... sad Sad

okay,we can't live with those old birds forever. the EF 2000 will be a very good replacement for them.

actually, the US has bought mig 29's before, they are used as agressors, but just 1 or 2 years ago, they bought a shipment of 6 mig-29's, the official reason was "to keep them from getting in to the wrong hands".
sounds kinda fishy...

they had:
some Mi-24's from some country in the mideas
a tarantul-2 from the DDR navy (now in some museum in the US)
MiG-21's (as YF-110) and Mig-23's (as YF-113) bought somewhere under the 'Foreign Materiel Acquisition/Exploitation' program

And the F-18 agressor squadron is part of the navy. they have a color scheme like the one used on the Su-27

THIS Mi-24 flies in the USA for the US airforce. It's used for crew familiarisation so they can learn the weak and strong points by flying it

EF2000 sucks, and who said that the MiG-29 is "old"  Roll Eyes
it kicks ass.....

if you could direct me to the source where it says the US bought MiG-29s, that would be great because right now i am kind of doubtful that happened
