what can you tell me about tampa Oz? i have heard its quite nice there, albeit rather expensive. as for the weather, living in england the rain thing isnt such a problem:) high winds are nothing unusual either as i live in the middle of a valley coming right off the severn estuary ok it aint hurrican level. and the heat, i love it if it aint about 85 i am not happy mainly why i am moody all the time:)as for the visits thats something we are looking into but with money being tight its got to be a certain decision as we cant afford to go to florida hawaii then where ever else it may require.
thanks again for the info Oz.

To be honest ive never gone to Tampa but have heard about it. They say its rather..well 'dead'. Not much entertainment im guessing, a pretty lifeless city. But thats what ive heard; i cant second that since ive never gone there. I suggest you do a search on yahoo for more info. If you really want to get to 'know' Florida then heres a wild thought: You can travel the entire state in about 6 hours. Take a flight to MIA, rent a car and run across the state usin the turnpike or I95. Youd have to have the money available though  Wink.
Some FL cities you might like to find more info on:
Jacksonville
Hollywood
Orlando
Fort Myers

And you can make some city comparissons here http://houseandhome.msn.com/pickaplace/comparecities.aspx

Good luck

I've heard the taxes in Hawaii are outrageous since everything has to be imported.  All they got that's cheap is fish, coconuts and pineapples.

DO NOT come to Florida if: you don’t like hot weather (it is 81 degrees here and it is only 6:45AM!) If you don't like bad traffic (i.e. i-95 in the morning stop and go traffic) if you don't like being told it would rain and it not raining (believe me it does not rain ALL of the time) and if you don't like idiots there are plenty of em.

Just speaking from experience! Grin
