This morning I got up to find by bud online and needing a witness for his crazy flying........Well, Mark is just a crazy as we all give him credit for, and I did my best to try to keep up and get our back to back pass under the Golden Gate.....alas, its really not all that easy to do when flying online....we took many passes at it and got close, but never really acheived our objective, but thats not to say we are finished trying..........here is a bit of our attempts........it was a blast and I look forward to more of it.............
Please forgive the quality of the images as I need to get a new screenshot saver which will support my 1600x1200 res which I normally fly at now......looking into it and will have better shots as soon as i find something.........

This is as close as we could get .....

Now this is cool stuff. Ken, which heavy are you flying. Do you know that these are the only pictures I have seen from you where you are actually transporting people!!! IN A HEAVY. Usually you are scaring old people at the day care and flying inverted thru McDonalds!! LOL

Really Dave, did you think I wasn't a deep down bus driver ?.....I can handle anything that has wings and some that don't ( ie. Supercar).....I am flying the upright heavy in all those shots.....
........my grab clip save won't allow me to save my 1600x1200 images and due to that fact, it brings in a moire effect when it saves them down to 1024x768......makes my shots look amateur-ish....we will be getting together again to get this stunt right and hopefully by that time I will have a better screenshot saver......
.....this was just our first time trying to formate and now with this rookie session behind us, you can count on better stuff as we become journeymen......

I have to say this was a great session with Ken, and as he said we're still working on this. The idea is to fly through with wings overlapping.
I've been doing a lot of practice for this recently and can not hold the jumbo inverted at 60-80 feet at 475 knts indefinately.
Ken did all the hard work, he had to keep trying to catch-up and hold position whilst taking the shots.
Believe me we did a lot of passes, but hey what a gas 8)
My hat goes off to Ken, he has amazing powers of patience as well as being a great pilot. I'm looking forward to the next session with him and I'm thinking up some other hair-raising things at the moment Grin

now try to get as much crazy people as you can get on this forum and di it with 5 aircraft together or so... or take 2x Diamond-9 BAe hawks just for the looks
