Ok, I have done my fair share of CFS3 bashing here in these forums and not always unfairly.  I still have reservations about the game, and think the interface is as butt-ugly as can be.

But now I have to give CFS3 its props.  I was flying the P-72 Superbolt and admiring the view in freeflight when I decided to check out my wingmen.  Much to my surprise, IT WAS ANOTHER SUPERBOLT!  Any game has has the common sense to use AI aircraft that are the same as yours is ok in my book.

I also like the fact that even though it is free-flight, they as least give you ground targets in case you get bored.  It's a good way to bet bombing practice in without little inconveniences like gettign shot at.

Ok, so I promise, no more slamming CFS3, despite what misgivings I have left...

I'd hazzard a guess you own a p4 with less than 512MB RAM ???

CFS3 requires 228MB RAM to run!  Shocked  and thats before you take into account Windows itself  and any other drivers or programs you have running in the background........

I hated CFS3's stutters, once I upgraded to 512MB RAM from 256MB, the stuttering stopped. - and thats with a crappy Celeron rather than the better p4 CPU.

Posting drivel here since Jan 31st, 2002. - That long!

Not me man,

P4 2.4 gig
1024 MB Ram
180 Gig HD (with a 20 Gig partition for Flight Sims only)
yada, yada, yada...

No video card though; 32 megs of shared memory only.  I'm saving myself for something top of the line...  I want to be able to wear white when I install it.
