ok.. this is probably the first time i beat blade at posting pics of newly released military planes first Grin

here it is, the beautiful YF-23  Cheesy Cheesy
i love that plane...
The model is great, flies great, but doesn't have panel or instruments in vc... but still good.. The landing looks especially nice, and the complicated animations of the yf-23 are spot-on... (aileron, elevators and rudder all in one) 8)

i have to agree.. there is something about the YF-23 that makes it nicer, i'm not sure what exactly. maybe it's the unusual shape, it looks mean and agressive Smiley.. like a space ship almost..

i have to agree with crumbso Grin

the Su-27/33/35/37 series are much nicer
the Mig 29 is nicer
The Mig-39 (1.42) is nicer
S-37 is nicer

F-22 performs nicely, looks nice, but is not the best looking thing with wings..

IMO I think that the Boeing Bird of Prey beats any Mig or F-22 or YF-23 any day. Check this thing out...

...

Now seriously guys is this not just the greatest looking airplane you've ever seen?

i do like the boeing concept aircraft, it'll be a long time till its in service if it ever sees it at all.
i like the X-02 from ace combat 4 that plane is amazing, especially the way the tail and wings fold up on itself at high speeds completly streamlined

It's from the Popular Science website but if you go to boeing.com you can find some really high resolution pics if you want.

that bird of prey is just experimental, that pic is a 3d rendition of the plane.. I have some real ones though. It's performance is really crap though. Max speed 300knts, Max altitude 15,000ft

this bird already flew and is already out of service. it stopped flying around 1999/2000. It was designed solely for x-perimental purposes, mainly as a test platform for JSF technology... so it's not a concept.

if i hear the expression "typical russian aircraft",i think of the MiGs and Sus from the 1970s,like the MiG 23,MiG 21,Su 7,etc...noisy,fast,dirty,fuel-consuming,etc...

Well when I think of US aircraft I think Fuel consuming Dirt and Quite boring with the exception of the B1b and the F-16

Oh yeah and noisy is no bad thing. Whew some of the nicest aircraft are v noisy like the b1b, Tornado, Su-22, Su-37 and the Harrier.

And American engines of the 70's and backwards are very dirty the only reason the f-80 wasn't dirty was because it was a British engine.
