Ok - if the above solution didn't work, try this:

Open the Devices Manager, select USB-Controller, right-click on one of the USB-Root-Hubs and select "Properties". Select the "Power Management" tab and make sure that the checkbox called something like "Allow the Computer may switch off device to save power" is NOT checked. Repeat the same procedure for the second USB-Root-Hub.

Are you using CH Control manager to map the brakes?

If so, check for new drivers. There used to be a problem on the older sets where sensitivity was basically too high and caused this problem.

Map them in FS2002's assignment section instead.

Second possibility:

Go into your FS2002.cfg file.

Look for the section starting "[Joystick_Main"

Reverse the axies for the toe brakes by changing the entries as seen below:

AXIS_NULL_00=90
AXIS_EVENT_01=AXIS_RIGHT_BRAKE_SET
AXIS_SCALE_01=127

AXIS_EVENT_06=AXIS_RUDDER_SET
AXIS_SCALE_06=-87
AXIS_NULL_06=30
