US Airways 757 going to Myrtle Beach (Read 314 times)

Well, I was flying into Myrtle Beach from Orlando in a US Airways 757-200 when my #2 eng. went out. 1st pic.

I couldn't keep speed up and was over the ocean and knew I had no choice but to ditch it. The cabin was prepared for the impact.

So I started the evacuation (can't see any slides though)

And luckly everyone got out safely and the coast guard brought us to shore.

Yup, I had some heavy people on board and the peanuts just pushed them over the edge! Really I don't know what the deal was. I lost the engine, it was doing fine, but then after I turned the 1 1/2 mile final, I just lost all lift and went down. Nothing I could do to recover it. Sorry. Kiss
