I filed a flight plan, low altitude routes, between an unkown city and Cape Town in South Africa, about 3/400nm apart.  The bloody flightplan took me all the way down to Durban in the Southeast, then all the way up accross the whole of Africa, to Saudi Arabia, then all the way back down to Cape Town!!!!  In a bloody cessna too!!!!  About 20 000nm worth!!!!  Instead of direct, about 300nm!!!! Sad

Ah, well, it's one of a lot of glitches, that can't be fixed, until the next version. Sad Grin

So do I. I once tried to file a flightplan from Los Angeles to Honolulu using high altitude airways, but the route it gave me kinda zig-zagged around the pacific Roll Eyes

VOR to VOR routes always seem to do that.  ???

Not really the most economical way to run an airline. Direct-GPS is more beliveable.
