Can anybody help?

I bought CFS 3 yesterday, rushed home to play it and the damn thing won't work.

I have managed to install it successfully as far as I can see and I have downloaded the lastest driver for my GeForce 4 MX 420 which I am running on Windows ME.

What am I doing wrong?

Its when I click on the programs icon that nothing happens - the hourglass comes up and then nothing at all.

Whats going on?

What's your hardware? I dont think that could be the problem, the game would at least start but it could take some long time.

Also, make shure you turn off all aplications. My CFS3 has a conflict with my freeware anti virus software.

As you said i'm not sure its the hardware and I've got about 3G spare to play with a decent Video card etc. I've check for virus software running in the background but nothing there either.

Its funny, when I have clicked the icon and nothing happens, I then did cntl+alt+del to End Task of anything else that might be running and CFS is in there. So its almost like its running with absolutly nothing at all happening.

did you configure the game before starting it ?   go to program files/ m$ games / cfs3 ... and to the config tab.... set all to 1 , and see if it says  it's configured.... also check out the misc page , for cfs3, and get the  set up zip... it will help you too...

Thanks for your help.

I've since taken the game back and exchanged it for IL2 Forgotten Battles. I found out later that it was my Direct X that needed reinstallng.

Cheers.
