Wolf. I have not signed the petition as I believe there are wider issues involved which I am not qualified to discuss. However, please remember that many child molesters also murder their innocent victims as in the case of poor little Holly. It is also recognised that they rarely show any remorse or see any wrong in their actions, ever. That takes some thinking about.

I'd like to update this story. They finally caught the basterd who killed that little girl. They're now conducting forensic investigations to prove him guilty. It won't be long until this sick freak is rotting in Kingston Pen, Canada's prison for the most infamous of criminals. It also turns that the killer's house was only a two minute walk away from Holly's. She probably knew him, as in most cases. Hopefully he's the guy and this awful case can finally be put to rest.

Speaking from the point of view of being the son of a sex offender I can say honestly that no punishment is too harsh for these people.  My father molested several young girls and boys over his life, including my cousin, the niece I was going to adopt, and several of my little brothers friends.  All this liberal crap about 'oh, we must be understanding, and patient' is just that.  Was he patient with the lives he ruined?  Did he stop to think about all the pain he was going to cause?  That's just five lives he damaged and for what?  Something he could have got for three dollars in a porno theater.  I have dealt with a counselor about this for some time now and he says that it comes from a bad childhood and the 'need to touch something pure.'  Bullshit.  I had a shitty childhood and have yet to feel like molesting a child will make it better.  To this day, I rarely speak to my father (and mother, who tried to cover it up) and would not dream of leaving my children alone with them.

My older sister was instrumental in having the law changed here in the US so that there is no statute of limitations on child molestation.  She was abused by a cousin of mine and still bears those scars, even though she is heading towards fifty now.

So as far as I am concerned, the government (Canada or the US) cannot be too harsh on these perverts.  Chemical castration, physical castration, wearing a bracelet forever, registering forever, I don't give a rat's ass what you do.  Just get these pigs off of the streets.

I signed the petition and I would again without hesitation.
