Why in the campaign are only the completed missions counted?  In real live all missions were recorded.  In my campaign it's August 1944, and I've completed 89 missions.  I know I've failed at least 10.  These should be recorded!  M$ should have put a log book in there like in CFS1.  Maybe you could write a little something about how your mission went, then have a page where your complete stats are listed.  I don't like the way they kept track of your stats in CFS2 and 3, It's not "as real as it gets."  There are a actually a lot of things wrong in the game Shocked.  9th Air Force fighter-bombers didn't get in as many dogfights as you do in this game.  And even though kills in the air counted the same as if you blow up a plane on the ground, they did seperate them.  Francis Gabreski is famous for his combat record. 36 1/2 emeny figthers, 31 in WWII and 5 1/2 in Korea.  In WWII Gabreski only shot down 28 fighters while destroying 3 on the ground, the last being the one that did him in.  But those 3 were always seperate.  As in real life they should be seperate in the game.

Absolutely agree. Another thing that gets in my nerves is no shared kills. In real war, pilots got half kills.

And what about probable and damaged aircraft and ground targets?  You can waste all your ammo on one target (As I normally do in a dogfight Embarrassed.) and he won't go in after hitting him a few times, that's a damage.  And when you think you shot someone down but no one saw him go in, it's a probable.  I never played IL-2 but does it have anything like that?

I dont know, I never played IL-2 but yes, it would be a great idea.

Tip: use your rockets! When you've pumped enough lead on an aircraft and it wont go down, usually it's crippled so bad it wont make much evasive turns and fly real slow and straight. So get behind him, at 200 feet and stabilize your airspeed so you wont over pass it. Aim a good bit above him, and shoot a rocket. If you fail correct your aiming. This has made me shoot up to 5 planes in one mission!

It's a good idea but if I run into fighters it's normally after I've bombed, strafed, and rocketed (is that a word? ???.).  So all I'll have is my eight 50s.  I'll try it in free flight.
