Can anyone help me with this problem I have?

Just recently I notice my computer is running out of memory faster than it used to, with a predictable drop in performance, yet it all appears to be working.

Also, just last night, the fonts used in IE have tripled in size! Everything in (IE only) is masssive.

What the hell is going on?

Virus maybe?

Hi Ric, which OS are you using, and what anti-virus and firewall software?

Have you been inside the box recently? (Might have knocked a RAM slot out of place)
As for the big text, try going view / text size.

Hi guys,

Well, I did some digging around, and it seems alot of the files on my HDD got damaged in some way. We have been getting some odd power outs here in the past few days.

Eventualy the computer just stopped responding totally, so I've re-formatted the HDD and re-installed all my files  Shocked

Thanks god for CD-RW's!!!

Well, I finally tracked the problem down. Turns out it was a corrupted set of mainboard drivers, and a corrupted BIOS (how the hell did that happen!?)

I've updated it all, and now my computer works better than ever! Grin

For example, with my problem I got 7764 in 3DMark, I now get a score of 12552, much more like what it used to be, if not a little better!

I do have one small problem though, it's really odd, but quite amusing at the same time. You know when you start XP, it plays a little tune "te-la-la-de-de"? Well, mine gets cut a bit short...."te-la....." What's up with that?  Roll Eyes
