After fuelling up at Courtenay Airpark, I decided to fly up to the mountains with my Lake Renegade and see how the Glacier is doing at this time of year............

...
Even though my pilot dropped out on me, I did manage to find a lake up on the Glacier and did a splash-and-go on the frigid waters right after taking this shot.......
...
And after drying the water from the hull, I took a buzz around and enjoyed all the beautiful scenery which we call home around where I live...........much better than the flatlands of southern Ontario..........

This is stock FS2002 scenery in the mountains surrounding the Comox Valley. In fact the snowy area depicted here is supposed to be the ice-cap which is known as the Comox Glacier.......

Rifleman - I like the shots and love the aircraft - I have a float plane collection going - where can I get one of those? If you don't mind me asking.

You can find the Lake Renegade here..........

Its a nice flying little boat, but I wish it had more than just one flap setting and a bit more roll rate .......

Fantastic pics Ken.... Grin...!
I love the old pusher Renegade, a very pretty, well proportioned aeroplane.
Mine resides in my hangar at Half Moon Bay, (KHAF).

Cheers Ken... Wink...!

P.S. its' amazing what a bit of tweaking to the FS 2002 weather settings can do when you experiment with them... 8)...!

Hi Ken...!
Now you can see why I always fly around the Californian scenery of sun, sea, rivers, lakes and mountains, ups and downs, ins and outs, rather than the "flat, boring, landscape" of England.... Grin...!
LOL...!!!

Cheers...
Paul.
(England)....the land of Microsoft "flatness"... Cry...!

P.S.  Ken, what's the weather like in Vancouver throughout the year, compared to England...?

Well Paul, the weather in Vancouver is so much different from what we get here on Vancouver Island.....its mostly wet there, much the same as you may be getting according to Hollywood, but for us on the island, we do get our share of rain, although we do have much more sunshine for the bulk of the year, as the mountains of the island push the northwest winds up, only to drop the precip on the mainland.....we are just the right distance to avoid most of it....
