Quote:I have a couple or more ac without running lights and I
don't have examples to copy from. I think it's possible to
use the aircraft anatomy in the aircraft.cfg file as a basis
for installing a "Lights" section in the same cfg file.
Problem is, I'm not to quick at math, and would appreciate anyone advising me as to what info I'd need
(and how to jig it) to install, for example, port and starboard
wing lights, upper and lower beacons, and a tail light if
appropriate. I understand the format for the section but
the numbers are beyond my capabilities at this time.
Thanks very much for any help at all.
Another little thing; does anyone know if a map exists
giving a lat/lon breakdown of world atc zones in fs2002.
Example: Where does China end and East Asia kick in, etc? Thanks.
Ken, if you register so you can either advertise or private message me your e-mail addy, I'll e-mail you a very good timezone map.
As far as the lighting goes here's the entry for my Baron:
[LIGHTS]

light.3=2, -6.63, -19.29, 0.79, fx_strobe ,

light.5=1, -24.18, 0.00, 6.17, fx_beacon ,
light.6=2, -8.00, 0.00, -1.60, fx_strobe ,
light.7=4, -8.00, 0.00, 2.70, fx_vclightjc,

light.9=6, 10.0, 0.00, -5.00, MJ772TL,
light.10=5, 8.00, 10.00, -3.00, Newll,
light.11=5, 8.00, -10.00, -3.00, Newll,
The first number you come across is the position forward and aft of the aircraft. The more positive, the further forward.
The second number is it's position left and right. 0.00 is dead center.
The third is it's elevation.
Depending on the aircraft, you'll need to experiment with the numbers to get the positioning right. I spent over 2 hours playing with the additional stuff I put on the Baron before getting it right LOL.
