Hoping for alittle help becaue I really don't want to reinstall my game just for AI traffic.

At one point I had my traffic slider all the way down to 0% to test some PC changes out, didn't want the addition Frame Rate hit. Now that I'm done I've moved my slider back to 100% but my AI traffic is gone. If I select Logan(Boston) or Chicago there is no traffic in the air or on the ground with me.

I even too the traffic.bgl from my install at work and over wrote the one on my home PC but still no luck.

This is making SP flights EXTREMELY borring. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm assuming it has to be something besides the slider. I even tried TTOOLS and Decompiling/compiling the flights plans.

When I reload it says it's loaded 1700 AI flight plans, what gives?>????

As far as I know, there are 2 sliders that change the ammount of traffic. One in de 'Display' options and one in the 'ATC' options.

Don't know for sure, because I don't have FS here (@ work  Grin) right now.

Look in your aircraft folder and make sure the following 2 files are present:

default.dp and default.cdp.

If they aren't you can retrieve them from the aircraft.cab on FS2002 CD #1

I just joined this forum.....and it is GREAT!  I came across this thread.....cause my AI traffic was completely non-existent for some reason.  Used Win Explore and checked out the aircraft folder....and there was no default.dp or default cdp files.  Went to the CR ROM and found ONLY the default.dp file on the disk.  Extracted it and installed it in the aricraft directory in FS2002 Pro....and I now have AI traffic.

Thanks for the tip on the general problem.

best,

Glad you guys fixed it.  Wink
Just to clarify, you will only find the default.dp file on the CD. It's in AIRCRAFT.CAB (on CD-1) & can be extracted with Winzip in the usual way. A new default.CDP will be created next time you run FS2002.
