I was thinking of a game I'd like to see on the market.  You would play the roll of a T.V./Police helicopter pilot.  You would have objectives to film accedent scenes or help the police follow someone on a high speed chace, or using an IR camera to see someone running in the night.  You would get better points for better shots, or being able to more quickly catch the bad guy.  Kind of like a flight sim, but you get the ground scenery more involved so we have something new and interesting to watch.

Anyone else have ideas for games they would like to see on the shelves?  Or maybe new advances made to the MSFS games?  Doesn't matter how big of a system you would need to run it, because it is hypothetical anyway.

your idea is a bit too simple, darkhorse, but if you want some helicopter-action,try gta:vice city.
there's nothin' better than flying with an apache over a highway and destroying cars of bad guys with the machine gun..Grin

If you really want a blast-from-the-past, highly amusing, fun, helicopter game-in-the-city fly around, just look out for "Simcopter".
You will get it from second-hand computer game shops, or even off your mates who are too proud to play it any more.... Grin...!
Loadsafun.... 8)...!

As for new "stuff", I've been playing 'puter games since the 1970's, and when I pop into my local games shop I see nothing there that hasn't been done before.... Cry...!
...just "better" graphics....?
...game-play...not as much fun anymore... Cry...!

Cheers...

Hi Fozzer..!

You bring up an interesting point. Games get old. You play 'em, beat 'em, and then eventually toss 'em!  Grin

Nothin new, just better graphics!

That's why I recomend the flightsimulator to everyone!
You don't have to fly in a certain place in an aircraft twice. It's up to you! Grin 8)

You simply cannot beat it 8)

I agree Fozzer. I basically said the same thing in another thread around here somewheres. Has anybody checked out Flight Gear? It looks the same as FS, except its free and said to work on Windows, Mac, and Linux. It's an open GL program.
I recently found the land of emulators, which is why I haven't been around much lately. So far I can play almost all Atari 2600 and Atari ST games, Sega system, Coleco Vision, and Othello. I like the older games. The play is smoother and faster and there's a wider variety of scenarios. Even at that there were a lot of the "same thing, different title" games toward the end of the run of the older systems too. Ok, that's my $0.02 worth.(why ain't there a cents symbol on my keyboard?)

Id like a WWII based tank game where you can drive shermans, m-10s, panthers, panzers, etc. and make a campaign for either the Brit, US, or German side. And CFS3-type effects would really be cool  Cheesy

Hi Oz
One of the nearest games to that at the moment I would think is the war game, "Operation Flashpoint", by Codemasters.
In that game you can get in and out of various vehicles.
I've got the game, but I can't be arsed with all the shooting, bombing and constantly dying, ...much too stressfull.... Roll Eyes...!
LOl..LOL...LOL...!

There is one. It is called "Panzer Elite". However it is getting old now and the graphics arn't what computers are capable of these days. But it is the only pure WWII tank sim about. Also with addons you can use almost any tank in WWII!

One word that sums up one of the best games of computer history.
It was made in the mid/late 80's, for Atari ST, Amega and Spectrum (Foz should definatly know of this one Smiley)
Elite

I haven't seen so many imitations of this, but the latest is Freelancer. And what a bloody good game it is! Grin 8)
(P.S As a word of caution, don't step anywhere near 'Enter The Matrix' Which I'm about to sell to some poor sod on Amazon Undecided, such a huge flop!)
