i merged two parts and made it into one....when i applied the textures it didnt cover the whole thing (see the back of the canopy, is orange...its supposed to be black) and on the tail, there are two polygons right underneath the rudder they are both covered by the textures either.

see pic for details.

...

for more pix click HERE

i expanded the colors on the texture map but did not work, i lready tried to strip "naked" the whole part covered by the texture and then re assign the texture but didnt work either.....

PLEASE HELP Sad Sad Sad

Ace. I'm no texturing guru but here's my two pennorth. I'm sure Felix will have plenty of better suggestions.
Which parts did you merge & how did you assign the textures? If they're assigned to the sides they don't cover the top of a curved surface too well. You could split the canopy from the fuselage & wrap a single texture round it. Another method is to assign the texture from both sides & the top. This might mean splitting the canopy into top & bottom sections. I'm sure there's other methods.

ya i already tried that, the thing is that is way harder to split it again, besides, the part has plenty of room to take from the texture maping.........

I'm wondering why you joined the parts in the first place. I would go for a separate canopy so you can animate it. It's not that difficult to separate them again. In Poly mode use the mouse select tool or select each poly in turn & split the part. Changing the texture will make no difference. It won't cover the top when assigned to the sides. It's also possible to texture individual polygons. Maybe that would suit you better.

When texturing the canopy - did you have the fornt canopy frame polygons selected?  One possibility is that you may have just applied the textures to the selected polygons.

nop, the fuse and the canopy are one whole part, is ieasier for me Grin i checked the parts for non planar polys or sumething like taht and the texture ended up covering just the back of the canopy, not the polys on the tail.....now there are sum lines i have to worry about, i'lll post a pic later Smiley

Check the surface normal on the untextured poly's...if you are mapping the surface from the left/right and those poly's are vertical they won't be covered. Smiley
