I have aproblem when landing, the runway flashes, jumps or
momentarily vanishes.  When all sliders are min. no problem.
I have tried moving one at a time but can't seem to find the right combination to cure this problem. Appreciate any help,
many wise folks here!

Hmmm... are you flying a Delta Airlines aircraft? Because Delta has been known to disappear from radar frequently, so I was thinking that maybe they were taking the runways with the too.

Actually, I think it is a problem with the .bgl files (probably wrong)... But, I know there is a series of .bgl files that fixes this problem.  I can't remember who made them (there are about 10+ zip files that contain fixes for 10+ airports in each zip file).  You can try looking here, but I would also try www.avsim.com for them.

The following files solve a lot of these problems with default airports:

aprnfix9.zip and aprnfx10.zip (an update with additional airports in).
